My mate and I are having problems when parking our bikes in our road where we live. A certain female driver who lives in the same road insists on parkng as close as she possibly can to our bikes to the point where you can't get on them and is seriously close to knocking one over. The picture attached is an example of what its like.My mate has also on one occasion found his seat covered in brown sauce although we can't prove it was her. My mate tried speaking politely to her but she walked away, he tried again and got told that it wasn't her fault he had small legs, he was facing the wrong way and didn't pay enough road tax. He tried remonstrating with her and she basically told him to f*ck off. what can you do with people like this/ I'm seriously tempted to walk over her bonnet next time or clamp her car. However I don't want a full out war having just bought a new motor it wouldn't put it past her trying to scratch it!
Is there any legal standpoint on inconsiderate parking? police involvement?
solutions anyone?

can you set up CCTV or something watching your bikes, might catch something incriminating (sp), As for legal standing not sure, might be worth pm'ing simon F with regards to parking etc, if she isn't leaving room for you to move, might be classed as blocking you in.

She sounds like she has a problem with motorbike, we have lower road tax because we use less of the road and do not wear out the road as quick as weight less as well.

good luck with it

I did actually post a few solutions last night, but thought it best to delete upon reading it back

I like the idea of a mass biker meet although the people either side of the house in question are decent folk.
We are now making a photographic record and see how it goes.

Could you park at an angle to the kerb rather than 90 degrees (as it appears you have in the photo)?

This way she could only park near one 'end' ofthe bike, which should mean you have enough room to get on from either side & also should be able to lean it upright?

After my boxer got spread across the road in the summer by a blind motorist trying to reverse park, I found a couple of  motorway cones abandoned by the side of the road and used them each side (after I got it back from her insurer's repairer).

It worked at keeping cars from getting too close, but if they're set on being belligerent, you're stuffed.

Ironically, the bike was in so much better condition when it came back (they did both sides!-eh?) I couldn't bear to leave the bike on the road anymore.  Paved a bit of front garden and got a Bike Barn.

So I've got a couple of cones if you want them!
